We went out for a walk around the mountain last Saturday. I was pretty keen to climb it but Jos saw sense and just went for a walk through the forests around the bottom. I continued on solo but, I have to admit, neshed out about three quarters of the way up after getting really bored and tired of climbing through what can only be described as a 45 degree gravel pit whilst getting battered by 60 mph winds from all angles! With it being a volcano it just got steeper the further you went and after so long of repeatedly slipping over in the scree I just couldn't be bothered. Legs still totally ached for the next two days though!
